Family Engagement That Works — Centering Parent Voices
Friday April 24, 2026 11:15am - 12:15pm PDT
How can districts move beyond compliance and truly engage multilingual families? This session explores the requirements outlined in Washington’s Dual Language Law (RCW 28A.300.577) and shares authentic parent perspectives on what meaningful engagement looks like.
Participants will learn practical strategies for building trust, creating advisory structures that empower families, and designing culturally and linguistically responsive communication. Through real examples and parent feedback, we’ll highlight how districts can transform family engagement into a powerful tool for equity and student success.
