About me
Kristin Odegaard is a Multilingual Learner Specialist for the Lake Stevens School District and a BeGLAD Certified Agency Trainer (CAT). She brings three decades of experience supporting linguistically diverse students across the educational spectrum. Kristin began her career with 10 years in early childhood education, followed by 14 years as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher, where she built strong foundations in language development and literacy. She later spent 11 years as a high school Spanish and Multilingual Learner teacher, deepening her commitment to equitable, language-rich instruction. Now in her second year as a district specialist, Kristin partners with educators to implement GLAD strategies that foster access, engagement, and academic success for all multilingual learners.
